The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and WO=MEN Dutch Gender Platform kindly invite all Dutch NAP 1325 Signatories to the bi-annual

NAP 1325 Signatory Event

November 27th 2019, 09.00 – 13.00hrs
The Hague, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The aim of this Signatory Event is to extend the current Dutch National Action Plan (NAP 2016-2019) for one year (till December 2020) and to kick start the development of a fourth NAP on Women, Peace & Security.

The current Dutch National Action Plan 1325 (2016-2019) has almost come to an end. Meanwhile both Dutch civil society and the government acknowledge the need to continue and expand our joint commitments to implement the global Women, Peace & Security agenda. We therefore will use 2020, 20 years after the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, to develop a fourth National Action Plan on Women, Peace & Security.

The fourth NAP will be developed in joint cooperation with all signatories, like the earlier NAPs. We´ll draw on lessons learned and good practices of the Dutch NAP community, and of other countries, the EU and UN.

27 November will be an important step towards 2020 and NAP 1325 IV. Make sure your organization is represented! Please RSVP at: a.laven@wo-men.nl. The deadline for registration is Monday 18 November 17.00hrs. Detailed information on the program and speakers will be shared asap.

Kind regards,

The NAP Coordination team
Anne-Floor Dekker and Karin de Jonge (WO=MEN), Anneke Zwetsloot, Iris Loonen, Jochem Tissink, Frank Huisingh and Joelle Blankestijn (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
