Criticism on Dutch decision to end cooperation with UAWC

25-01-2022
Twenty-nine Dutch organizations, including WO=MEN, express in strong terms their concern over the Dutch government's decision to prematurely terminate cooperation with the Palestinian organization Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) and withdraw funding.

In recent years, there have been allegations of links between UAWC and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The PFLP has been designated a terrorist organization by the EU. Despite the fact that an external investigation revealed no financial or organizational ties between UAWC and the PFLP, the Netherlands is still discontinuing the cooperation due to the individual ties of a number of employees.

The organizations regret the decision of the Dutch government to discontinue its cooperation
with UAWC.
