Their rights, their incomes and their lives are at risk.
To cope with the corona crisis, countries are locked and economic support packages are agreed. Every effort is being made to continue to provide acute care and avoid sliding into a global economic crisis. That is understandable and completely justified. At the same time, these measures are putting gender equality and women's rights under pressure worldwide.
