Programme Manager Gender and Sustainable EconomyAs program manager for Gender and Sustainable Economy, Marjolein coordinates WO=MEN's lobby and advocacy efforts on inclusive and fair economic policy. She focuses on the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, as well as the European Union and the WTO. Additionally, she is part of the Feminist Economic Realities working group of Count Me In! and is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee.

What inspires you in your work at WO=MEN?
"The greatest source of inspiration are the people worldwide who stand up for their rights and address injustices - often despite the enormous risks they face in their work. Additionally, it's special to be able to work with so many different people and organizations and to get a behind-the-scenes look everywhere."
What do you hope to achieve or change through your work at WO=MEN?
"That together as a network we can stand strong for women's rights and gender equality worldwide. That we can show that this is not only the right thing to do, but also simply smart and effective."

"WO=MEN is optimistic and pragmatic. We always look for common ground and creative solutions. The diversity of all those different members bringing together their expertise and experiences is our strength. It's precisely by working together that no one can ignore us."
