Date: 09-05-2023Time: 14:00 (CET)Location: Online
After the first online session on 3 May,
JASS (Just Associates) invites you to the second virtual dialogue on 9 May! For more information, visit the
event page.
This is a JASS two part global dialogue that will focus on a contextual power analysis surfacing implications for movement strategy. This two part conversation will look at the intersections of 3 key themes (Bodies, Resources and Closing of Political Space) as entry points into an intersectional and systemic look at the dynamics of context and power in this moment. We will discuss critical questions such as:
- What is the meaning of global threats as they converge in the bodies, resources, safety and political space for women?
- What are the risks and opportunities for activists, movements and our work for change?
On Day 1 (May 3) the conversation engaged in a context analysis that explores converging global trends as they intersect and impact bodies, resources and the closing of political spaces, the power dynamics driving them and the implications for movements. On Day 2 (May 9) there will be a discussion on the challenges and opportunities for movements broadly.
