What is the conference about?
The #SHEcurity initiative (Twitter – Instagram) launched in 2020 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of UN resolution 1325 on "Women, Peace and Security”. The campaign takes stock of the advancement of women in peace and security.
This year, the #SHEcurity index will be extended: both regarding the number of countries covered and additional key topics to increase diversity in security and foreign policy.
The new version of the index will be presented at an online conference on Tuesday, 26 October 2021:

Diversity starts with our understanding of how we define "women”, and goes beyond the topic of women’s representation. In the field of Peace and Security, other groups are also under-represented, for example People of Colour or members of the LGBTQI+ community. We want to discuss how to improve the situation.
