labour rights and the UN’ in light of Beijing+30 ‘Reflect, Engage and Act
Together for Gender Justice’.
Sex workers
are a marginalized and diverse group of (precarious) workers, who often face
pushback, exclusion and intimidation (or even violence). How does the struggle
for sex workers' rights translate to a UN context? How do you deconflate sex
work and trafficking? How can you be a feminist ally to sex workers? Learn more
and ask all your questions in this session!
Topics
we'll discuss:
- Use of language around sex work and
clients
- Existing policy models and their
effect on the labour rights position, safety and health of sex workers
- UN discourse around sex work
