Online Seminar: Racism, Classism and Gender discrimination: intersectional feminist approach in strategy and analysis

Date: 16-11-2021
Time: 1:00 PM in Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna
Location: online

There are strategic and analytical challenges combining different intersections into a framework of policy and action. The intersectional feminist approach came from black feminists not being represented in feminist movements. This dynamic bears a striking resemblance with a lot of examples of feminist demands struggling being heard in movements promoting economic equality between different classes.

This web-seminar will reflect how an intersectional approach can be build that connects anti-racism and gender equality with reducing economic inequality and precarity.

This webseminar is part of a series with 4 online seminars on Intersectional Feminisms, providing concrete ideas on how to work with an intersectional approach in feminist activism and public policy.

Intersectional feminism helps us to act on patterns of gendered discrimination in which multiple layers of power inequalities tied to other aspects of people's identities, such as age, gendered expression, color of skin, sexual orientation and location, are continuously reproducing multiple discrimination.
