Invitation CSW65 debriefing

 

The 65th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW65) closed on Friday, March 26 at the UN in New York. For the first time, the CSW took place (almost entirely) online. This required many adjustments from the delegation and civil society. The CSW NGO Forum also took place completely online. Until the last day, it was not certain whether an agreement would actually be reached between the Member States. The approval of the paragraphs of the final document was very difficult.

 

In this debriefing we will provide substantive feedback on what has been achieved at the CSW, share experiences about the process, and talk about what needs to be done next with the results. The CSW65 NGO representative, Quirine Lengkeek, will also share her experiences. We will give participants as much opportunity as possible to ask questions and add insights and knowledge to the conversation. After the meeting, at 10.30 am, there will be an opportunity to talk informally.
