Inputsession Africa Strategy: Gender equality

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently working on an Africa strategy. A publication is expected in the third or fourth quarter of this year. Partos, together with members and other relevant stakeholders, will organise a number of thematic input sessions in the month of June 2022.

 

The aim of these sessions is to arrive at recommendations for the Africa Strategy. For each session, a panel of experts (NGOs, African representatives, academics) will be assembled to discuss the topic at hand and try to come up with recommendations, led by a moderator. The discussion will be streamed and participants will also be able to provide input.

In this session, the following topics will be discussed:

1) Gendermainstreaming

2) Holistic and gendertransformative approach

3) Women’s rights and gender equality as an independent topic
