Global Partner Network for Feminist Foreign Policy

In recent years, feminist foreign policy has emerged as a mechanism to advance the objectives of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, as well as a number of other issues essential to achieving gender equality. As this movement has grown, an expanding global network of governments and civil society are coming together to support its meaningful implementation.

In the context of the Generation Equality Forum, feminist foreign policy is one of the priority actions under Action Coalition 6: Feminist Movements and Leadership. This official Generation Equality Forum side event will feature speakers from the governments of Mexico, Sweden, and Libya; the Equality Fund; and the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), who will discuss the core elements of feminist foreign policy, share lessons learned, and announce new, transformative commitments, including the launch of the Global Partner Network for Feminist Foreign Policy, where feminists inside and outside of government will collaborate to understand, refine, and advance the core elements of feminist foreign policy.

Speaker lineup:
  • Honorable Najla Mangoush, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Libya
  • Honorable Martha Delgado Peralta, Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico
