In the lead-up to the climate negotiations in Bonn (SB62), WO=MEN Dutch Gender Platform and Mondiaal FNV are hosting a session on gender equality and climate action in trade unions' work.
We are excited to announce our two speakers:
- Jyoti Macwan – General Secretary of the Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), India
SEWA represents women workers in the informal economy in India. With over 3.2 million members and more than 50 years of impact, SEWA’s work showcases the powerful link between gender, labor rights, and climate justice.
- Charlotte Vollaard – Policy Advisor ‘Just Transition’ Mondiaal FNV
Charlotte will share how gender equality is embedded in FNV’s approach to the climate negotiations. Together, we will explore how trade unions and women’s rights organisations can collaborate to promote a gender responsive and inclusive just transition.Are you engaged in women’s rights, climate justice, or trade unions?
