CSW69: Stories from the Future: Charting a path towards the future girls want
Date: 10-03-2025Time: 3:00 pm - 4.15 pm (EDT) (New York time)Location: Conference Room 9, Conference Building. UNHQPlease note you will need a CSW badge or a UN grounds pass to access this location.
Girls and young women will lead this CSW side event using creative storytelling to communicate their vision for the future to decision-makers. These stories will center on key themes, such as education, violence against women and girls, SRHR, girls in crisis and girls’ leadership. Using the power of stories, we aim to inspire Member States and other power holders to take urgent action. This event will present the "Stories from the Future”, developed by girls and young women from around the world, through creative modalities. This will take an inter-generational approach to look at the progress and gaps during the last 30 years since the Beijing Platform for Action and then look ahead to the future girls’ want in 30 years from today.
