CSW69: Pushback Against Gender Equality and Its Influence on Gender-Based Violence

Women for Women's Human Rights - New Ways (WWHR) and Women's Coalition Turkey invite you to discuss the impacts of the backlash against gender equality on combatting gender-based violence. This event will trace the historical trajectory of anti-gender movements within the UN, Europe, and Turkey, unpacking their economic-political foundations and their entanglement with the erosion of the rule of law, judicial independence, and democratic integrity. In response to this transnational challenge, we will also explore strategies of global feminist and LGBTI+ solidarity and resistance.
