Single mothers did not receive particular attention in the Beijing
Declaration. Over the last 30 years their situation has not
fundamentally changed, and many of them struggle to afford food
and housing to this day, in part because they are single mothers.
Help them ensure that single mothers are not
forgotten by international policy once again, and
improve their situation over the next 30 years.
Speakers include:
- Isra Lee, founder and director of Single Supermom
- Rense Nieuwenhuis, researcher and policy expert
- Maria Stern, former politican and founder of Thanks Day
