CSW66: Gendered Dimensions of Corruption and Its Impact in Gender Inequality

Graduate Women International, in cooperation with the Women’s United Nations Report Network, will present expert panelists including the UN Office of Drugs and Crime, Transparency International, U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Center, Gothenburg University, Sweden, who will address the gendered dimensions of corruption and the unique ways women experience corruption. Panelists will examine corruption’s impact on education, on gender inequality, how including women in decision-making processes reduces corruption, COVID-19 impacts on corruption, and various forms of environmental corruption. The event aims to mobilise organisations into action, create support networks, offer methods to dismantle gendered corruption, and propose actions to address the multifaceted effects corruption has on women, families and communities.
