October 10th 2017, 13.30-17.30pm, Parkhotel, The Hague
Dear NAP signatory,
We warmly invite you to the upcoming biannual NAP 1325 event: UN Security Council Resolution 1325: The Next Step on October 10th from 13.30pm till 17.30pm in the Parkhotel, Molenstraat 53, The Hague.
Bi-annually all NAP-signatories meet to strategize, share and inspire on the joint commitments we´ve made to implement Security Council Resolution 1325 of the United Nations on Women, Peace and Security. This particular bi-annual meeting on October 10th will be a special edition as the Netherlands is preparing for our seat in the Security Council in 2018. This provides a major chance for the Netherlands to take a leading role in better organizing a global integrated approach in peace and security, with meaningful participation of women and youth.
We are therefore happy to announce Pieter-Jan Kleiweg de Zwaan, Deputy Director General of Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lieutenant General Martin Wijnen, Deputy Chief of Defence and Farah Karimi, Executive Director Oxfam Novib will be key speakers during our event.
