We are halfway through the third NAP, and the NAP community is busy implementing via different programmes and action plans in the eight focus countries. Now the NAP1325 programs have passed the inception phase and took off in the various contexts, we’d like to look back where we stand and to scale up the internal learning and the cross learning between the NAP consortia.
The various NAP programs differ per context, focus and the approach of the different partners. This gives the NAP1325 community a wide spectrum of strategies and models regarding translating 1325 to realities on the ground. In this learning event, we invite the NAP consortia to jointly analyze best practices and challenges through various contexts. We will focus on strengthening the role of women in influencing peace processes: what works, and what doesn’t work? Other points of discussion are the security sector at local and national level as well as interventions that target the root causes of gender inequality and protection programs.
NAP signatories are invited to share ideas on the programme and set-up off the event.
